                                               Explain  the  mass  transfer  principles  for  mixtures,  species,  explain  mass
                                                  balances, diffusive and convective transport and determine mass trans-
                                                  fer in synthetic membranes.
                           Learning Outcomes  Determine the principles of hemodialysis and explain mass transfer perfor-
                                                  mance of the artificial kidney.
                                               Explain principles of cardiopulmonary bypass and problems related to artifi-
                                                  cial lung designs in membrane oxygenators
                                               This  course  introduces  them  as  transfer  principles  for  mixtures,  species
                                               velocities  and  fluxes.  Mass  balances,  diffusive  and  convective  transport.
