             Course Learning Outcomes*         On completion of the course, students are able to:

                                               1.  Initiate,  analyze  and  design  a  civil  or  Bachelor  of  Engineering
                                                   (Environmental) project.
                                               2.  Synthesize  information,  ideas,  and  concepts  from  previous  courses  into  a
                                                   comprehensive design effort
                                               3.  Demonstrate the ability to function effectively on a multidisciplinary team
                                               4.  Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills

             Transferable Skills               Communication, critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, continuous learning
                                               information management, leadership and design skills.


             Synopsis of Course Contents       Projects covering the different options in civil or environmental engineering and
                                               selected  according  to  emphasis  areas  of  each  student  when  registering  for
                                               course eg. road design, water supply system, etc. Actual projects are used which
                                               are  obtained  from  government  agencies,  consulting  firms,  and  other  sources.
                                               When  possible,  engineers  engaged  in  professional  practice  are  involved  as

             Assessment Weightage*             Continuous Assessment : 100 %

                                               Marks  for  preliminary  stage  will  be  given  before  the  detailed  design  stage.
