Learning Outcomes By the end of this course, student are able to:
1. Recognize of what rubber technology is and ability to grasp the con-
cepts of properties of polymers such as rheological, thermal, mechan-
ical and electrical in relation to nature and structure of polymers.
2. Recognize and forecaste future rubber based product demand and
identifying future problems
3. Formulate and design certain rubber based engineering product to suit
current usage and demand.
4. Produce and present a detailed report on given case studies of
problem solving nature.
5. Explain the importance of quality assurance in product manufacturing
6. Explain and apply the technology of another route of manufacturing
rubber products, i.e., via latex (wet) which is significantly different from
the dry rubber technology route.
