By the end of the course, students are able to:
1. Explain the management of various activities, operation processes and
procedures related to transformation process of products.
2. Evaluate the importance of location, capacity and layout planning of
facility.

The objective of this course is to help engineering students to learn about
industrial administration and to introduce the subject of operation manage-
ment. The concepts, procedures, and technologies in the operations are
explained so students are able to grasp management basics and to able to
understand the function of operation managers in a typical business organi-
zations.The important objective of this subject is to obtain basic knowledge
and issues on the production operation system
Continuous assessment : 40%
(AL & CL and tests)
Final examination : 60%
Marks for continuous assessment and final exam grades will be posted on
the Student notice board.
