Entry Requirements

1. Possessed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of
Surgery or any equivalent medical qualifications
(*Please refer note); and

2. Fulfil the requirements to be registered as a medical
practitioner in accordance with the Malaysian
Medical Act 1971; and

3. Fulfil clinical experience as prescribed by the
programmes; and

4. Pass the Entrance Evaluation of Medical Specialist
Pre-Entrance Examination (MedEX) or any other
evaluations and requirements set for the
programmes; and

5. The Non-Citizen applicant who obtains a degree
from a university or institution of higher learning
who do not use English as the medium of instruction
for the degree, are required to obtain the following

31 AUGUST 2023 6. Applicants must also ensure that their age does not

exceed 40 years old by the time the application is
submitted before 1st June 2024.
*Note
Only applicants that possess a Bachelor’s Degree qualification that is recognised by the Malaysian Medical Council
(MMC) as listed in the Second Schedule Medical Act 1971 are eligible to apply for admission.
Remarks:
Eligibility for applications are based on qualification of recognized Institution (Please refer the
following link: mmc.gov.my/medical-education-recognition).
Non-Malaysian/foreign medical practitioners with unrecognized medical degrees are to sit and pass the
Examination for Provisional Registration (EPR) prior admission. The EPR applications can be made via
Medical Register Information and Technical System (MeRITS) at meritsmmc.moh.gov.my
Multiple applications for the Master’s Degree by Clinical programme and alteration of an application to a different
programme is not permitted.
Placements for international candidates in all of the available Master’s Degree by Clinical programmes are generally
very limited.
