Pavel Rodin is a PhD candidate in Journalism, Media and Communication at the University of Gothenburg. He
studies social media, crisis communication, cross- and intercultural communication.
Chee Leong Yee is a project manager at the Asia-Europe Institute, University of Malaya. He has been working
on various research projects on higher education in Cambodia and Laos, discourses on expert risks of obesity in
Malaysia and Sweden, and recently involved in studies on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) and its
implementation in higher education systems in ASEAN.
Ali Attaran is an MA graduate in Translation Studies from Allameh Tabatabaei University, Tehran, Iran. He
worked as a research assistant in University of Malaya Institute of Research Management & Monitoring from
August 2012 to December 2014 on projects related to construction of Malay identity and public understanding of
expert knowledge.
Maya Khemlani David is professor in English and a Consultant with the CLMV Programme at the AEI,
University of Malaya. She writes edits and publishes in the field of applied linguistics and sociolinguistics and is
also a Certified Executive Coach and Counsellor.
Jens Allwood is a Professor of Linguistics at the SCCIIL Interdisciplinary Research Center and Division of
Communicaiton and Cognition at the University of Gothenburg. He studies intercultural communication,
pragmatics, semantics and multimodal communication.
Balazs Szanto, PhD, is a lecturer in international relations. His primary research interests are maritime territorial
conflicts in East Asia and the rise of China with a focus on foreign and security policy oriented research. Dr
Szanto occasionally ventures beyond these interests to cover other issue of interests, such as the state of politics
in the European Union as they relate to Eastern Europe.
Anis H. Bajrektarevic is Chairperson and Professor in International law and global political studies, Vienna,
Austria. He authors six books: FB – Geopolitics of Technology (Addleton Academic Publishers, NY); Geopolitics
– Europe 100 years later (DB, Europe), Cyber Scape (LAP, Germany); Nuclear Commerce (NOVA, NY);
Geopolitics – Energy – Technology (Germany, LAP). Europe and Africa – Security structures (Nova, NY) is his
latest, just released book.
Adil Kulenovic is a veteran of the ex-YU and Bosnian journalism and investigative research. Former initiator and
owner of the KRUG 99 RTV broadcaster. He is the Chairperson of the BH Council of Concerned Intellectuals
KRUG 99, Sarajevo, Bosnia.
Enis Oremović is Assistant professor, Faculty of Law of Zenica, Bosnia. He is specialized in comparative private
law, civil litigation and constitutional law.
Rahul Mishra is a Visiting Senior Lecturer at the Asia-Europe Institute, University of Malaya. Prior to joining
UM, he worked as a Consultant with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Before that, Dr Mishra
worked with the ICWA, New Delhi as a Research Fellow. Recipient of the 2015 Asia Fellowship of the East-
West Center in Washington D.C., Dr Mishra was a Researcher at IDSA, New Delhi for four years. Between 2011
and 2013, he had worked with S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Singapore and the National
University of Singapore.
