                             and entrepreneurship in the filed of English Language Education.


            6.     Programme Structure

                   (1)    The Master of Education (English Language Education) Programme is offered in two modes:
                          by  Coursework  and  Research  and  Research  only,  for a  total  of  fifty-five  (55)  credits.  The
                          details are as follows:

                          (a)     Programme by Coursework and Research

                                 (i)     Two (2) Faculty Core Courses each worth a total of three (3) credits;

                                         Faculty Core Courses

                                         PXGZ 6101     Research in Education; and

                                         Choose one (1) of the following

                                         PXGZ 6102     Statistics for Research in Education
                                         PXGZ 6103     Qualitative Research in Education
                                         PXGZ 6104     Survey Research
                                         PXGZ 6105     Future Studies
                                         PXGZ 6106     Experimental Research

                                 (ii)    Two (2) Compulsory Courses in the Field of Specialization courses each
                                         worth a total of three (3) credits;

                                 (iii)   One (1) Elective Course in the Field of Specialization each worth three
                                         (3) credits

                                 (iv)    A dissertation worth forty (40) credits


                          (b)    Programme by Research.

                                 This programme is carried out entirely by research leading to the production of a
                                 dissertation. However candidates are required to take the course in introduction to
                                 Research in Education (PXGZ 6101).


                   (2)    Details  of  the  courses offered  are  as approved by  the  Senate  from  time  to  time  on  the
                          Faculty  recommendation  and  are  made  known  to  candidates  at  the  beginning  of  each
                          session.

                   (3)    The list of courses approved by the Senate for the Master of Education (English Language
                          Education)  programme by Coursework and Research is as stated in List 1. Candidates shall
                          be  informed  of  the  required  course  combination  for  this  programme  before  the  initial
                          registration.
