        COURSE CODE        AA088002
                           This  course  is  designed  to  provide  an  overview  of  the  quantitative  and
                           qualitative methods for social science research, particularly business and
                           economics  research.  Topics  covered  include  business  and  economic
                           research process, the research paradigm, theory building, ethical issues,
                           problem    definition,   propositions   and   hypotheses   development,
                           measurement  and  scaling  concepts,  primary  and  secondary  data,
           SYNOPSIS
                           sampling  design,  questionnaire  design,  interviews,  observation,
                           experimental  research,  case  studies,  and  grounded  theory.  In  addition,
                           this  course  guides  students  to  critically  evaluate  literature  from  relevant
                           research  material.  Besides,  it  exposes  appropriate  techniques  for
                           quantitative  and  qualitative  research  and  integrates  ethics  in  research
                           projects in order to propose various research ideas.
                           At the end of the course, candidates are able to:
