Message from the Head

of the Department of

Biomedical Science

On behalf of the Biomedical Science Programme and all the academic staff, I extend a very warm
welcome to every one of you. We hope your time in this university will be an enriching experience.

This handbook has been prepared as a guide for your study in this programme. The content is very
useful for you especially in the first year of your study.

After joining the Biomedical Science Programme, it will take 4 years to complete the study and
obtain the degree. In this programme, we will put in our best efforts to train you while you put in a
lot of hard work powered by dedication, unwavering determination, perseverance, and
commitment to ensure you will become not only a knowledgeable but skilled personnel in the
future.

Overall, everything that goes on in this university is a learning opportunity. The skills that you will
acquire include good communication skills. You will also find that your lecturers, seniors and friends
are good mentors during your academic years, thus providing you with the best apprenticeship you
can have. The programme is also about character building, and you will need to develop
appropriate attitudes that contribute to the qualities necessary for your career later.

We would like to wish you every success in the programme and hope that the years that you will
spend with us will be among the best in your life. Last but not least, I look forward to meeting each
