Dean’s Message
Assalamuálaikum wrt. wbt. and
Good day.
On behalf of all staff of the Faculty of Science, University of
Malaya, I warmly welcome all new undergraduate students to the
Faculty for the 2016/2017 Academic Year. Admission to the
academic programmes offered by this Faculty has always been
very competitive and I would like to congratulate all of you for
being selected to join one of the best faculties in University of
Malaya, a premier Research University in Malaysia.
The Faculty of Science has always been committed in providing
exemplary and exciting science education which is easily
recognisable by its high quality and employability of graduates.
Apart from rigorous training in your scientific discipline of choice,
you will also experience a dynamic intellectual culture and a vibrant
campus life. I hope all of you will make full use of this golden
opportunity during your studies to broaden your horizon, enhance
your skills and engage in various activities that are beneficial for your personal development. I believe your
time spent here will help you to adapt to a fast-changing world with vigour, confidence and determination. I
trust that upon graduation, you will join the Faculty’s long list of notable alumni who have and continue to
contribute positively to society in various spheres of life. Once again, congratulations on being accepted as
an undergraduate student at the Faculty of Science, and I wish you all the best in your future undertakings.
