and contemporary conservation practices, ASEP 2016 empowered participants to become
catalysts for change in their communities. As participants prepare to return to their
respective countries, they carry with them a wealth of knowledge, inspiration, and a
renewed sense of purpose. They are equipped to advocate for sustainable development,
champion biodiversity conservation, and integrate indigenous wisdom into environmental
policies and practices. Just as ASEP 2014 and ASEP 2015 left lasting impressions on their
participants, ASEP 2016 has set the stage for continued collaboration and action towards a
more sustainable and harmonious relationship between humanity and the natural world.
