                                                          Dr.  Juan  Carlos  was  part  of  the  Event  Horizon
        D i s c o v e r y   b y ,
                                                          Telescope  Collaboration  (EHT)  that  won  the
        D r   J u a n   C a r l o s   A l g a b a   M a r c o s
                                                          2020  Breakthrough  Prize  in  Fundamental
        D e p a r t m e n t   o f   P h y s i c s
                                                          Physics.  This  team  captured  the  world’s  first
        F a c u l t y   o f   S c i e n c e
                                                          images  of  the  supermassive  black  hole  lying  in
        U n i v e r s i t i   M a l a y a
