Candidature Requirements
All postgraduate candidates are required to complete their candidature by
fulfilling the requirements as follows:

For Doctor of Philosophy Degree:

Requirements
The candidates are required to fulfill candidature requirements as follows
before 3-Months Notice of submission:
1. Fulfilled the minimum candidature duration of 4 semesters.
2. Fulfilled the University language requirement (Bahasa Malaysia and
English)
3. Residential requirements - for candidates registered starting semester I,
2009/2010 session until now.

Candidates are considered have fulfilled the residential requirement if
they have completed requirements 4(a), 4(b) and 4(c) and including the
following:

(a) Face to face consultation with supervisor(s) as imposed by the
faculty; and/or
(b) Participation in any faculty activities as required by the faculty

4. (a) Attended at least 3 credit of Research Methodology Course within the
first two (2) semesters of candidature - For admission of candidates
starting 2007/2008 session until now

(b) Seminar presentation:

(i) For admission of candidates starting 2002/2003 to 2006/2007- One
(1) month before thesis submission for examination;

(ii) For admission of candidates starting 2007/2008 until now-
 Within the first four (4) semesters; and
 Before thesis submission for examination

(c) Present research progress in a Candidature Defence session:

(i) For admission of candidates starting 2002/2003 to 2006/2007- One
(1) month before thesis submission for examination;

(ii) For admission of candidates starting 2007/2008 until now - in the
fifth (5) semester of candidature
