Sinopsis Kandungan Kursus / Synopsis of Course Content

Kursus ini membincangkan komponen utama pengajian program Usuluddin di Akademi Pengajian
Islam, Universiti Malaya. Komponen tersebut meliputi pengenalan terhadap ilmu akidah, tasawwuf,
`Ulum al-Qur'an, `Ulum al-Hadith, dakwah Islam serta sejarah dan tamadun Islam. Kursus
menjelaskan antaranya, konsep akidah sebagai teras pengajian Usuluddin dan sejarah
perkembangannya serta kedudukan akal dan hubungannya dengan wahyu yang membentuk
kesepaduan dan keilmiahan ilmu Islam. Kursus juga membincangkan sumber asas Islam iaitu al-
Quran dan al-Hadith, huraian `Ulum al-Quran, tafsir al-Qur'an serta huraian `Ulum al-Hadith. Kursus
turut menghuraikan konsep pembangunan insan dalam konteks dakwah Islam, konsep tamadun
Islam dalam konteks ilmu sejarah Islam, di samping ilmu tasawwuf.

The course discusses the main component of the Usuluddin programme studies in the Academy of
Islamic Studies, University of Malaya. The component includes discussion on the `aqidah, Sufism,
the science of al-Quran, the science of al-Hadith, the Islamic da`wah and the Islamic history and
civilization. The course explains, among them, the concept of `aqidah as a core for the Usuluddin
studies and it’s historical development and the position of intellect and it’s relationship with the
revelation that builts up the Islamic knowledge.The course also discusses the main sources of Islam,
i.e. al-Quran and al-Hadith, description of al-Qur’an and al-Hadith sciences and the exegesis of al-
Quran. It talks about the concept of human development in the context of Islamic da`wah and the
concept of civilization in the context of Islamic history, as well as the science of Sufism.
