First and foremost, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Dr.
Yahaya Ahmad who had led the ASEAN University NetworkDisability and
-
-
–
Public Policy Network (AUNDPPnet) for the past nine years (2016 2025). As
-
we can witness, AUNDPPnet continues to realise the vision of inclusivity
through the ongoing efforts in research, scholarship programmes, capacity
building, and information sharing across the ASEAN region. These initiatives
reflect our steadfast commitment in empowering persons with d
isabilities
and ensuring that higher education remains accessible, equitable, and
inclusive for all.
With continuous support from the Nippon Foundation on the Scholarship
Programme, many scholars had managed to pursue their dreams at the
Master’s level. Most alumni who had graduated from the AUN
-
DPPnet
Scholarship Programme have gained employment in various context. Thanks
to the Nippon Foundation for providing such invaluable opportunities.
As we move forward, AUNDPPnet aims to strengthen collaborations with AUN
-
Member Universities to further advance this shared mission. Together, we
aspire to materialise inclusivity within higher education systems and foster
greater community awareness on the importance of embracing diversity.
Through collective effort and sustained partnerships, we believe that
inclusivity will not only remain a principle but become a lived reality across all
universities in the ASEAN region.
