Greetings

Universiti Malaya Faculty of Sports & Exercise
Science, FSES (formerly known as Centre for
Sport and Exercise Sciences) offers
undergraduate degrees in Exercise Science and
Sport Management as well as postgraduate
degrees. FSES provides an opportunity and
avenue for students’ intellectual development
through experiential and interactive teaching and
learning.

FSES is empowered by local and international
academic staff, expert in various fields of Sports &
Exercise Science and Management such as
exercise physiology, sports biomechanics,

nutrition, psychology, motor learning, event
management, business, law and recreation.

Each academic staff is equipped with their own special skills and expertise. Knowledge transfer
is delivered in the form of lectures, practical classes and research. Apart from teaching and
developing students’ academic prowess, our academic staffs also perform engage in research
and academic publications, provide advisory services and contribute to the community in the
areas of sport, recreation and fitness. FSES is where sports and exercise theories are put into
practice. We are also equipped with the UM Arena stadium, a unique built for services i.e.
sporting ground and academic purposes. It houses five sports science laboratories, and halls;
where we have a number of latest equipment, suitable for research, teaching and services.
Through the labs, we offer the UM4S- Sports Science Support Services that can benefit sports
individuals, teams and clubs to measure their fitness and performance as well providing expert
consultation. Do make the most of these facilities.

To all students, do make the most of your time and opportunity in FSES to learn, develop and
