                                                 1. Discuss principle of corrosion.
                                                 2. Evaluate different forms of corrosion.
                                                 3. Explain corrosion environments.
                                                 4. Apply knowledge on corrosion prevention and quantitative analysis.

Transferable Skills 1. Identify different forms of corrosion
                                                 2. Knowledge on corrosive environments

Synopsis of Course Contents This course exposes the students to corrosion phenomena and principles,
forms, environments, prevention and testing of corrosion. In depth study on
different forms of corrosion will promote knowledge of students in identify-
ing forms of corrosion under different conditions. Detail study on corrosion
aspects of Fe and Al Alloys are considered. Corrosion prevention and test-
ing are highlighted and knowledge of quantitative analysis of corrosion will
                                                 be achieved.
