7. Utilize daylight/solar energy/co-generation for building and industrial ap-

Synopsis of Course Contents Significance of Energy Use in Building and Industry, End use energy con-
sumption building and industrial sector, Energy audit in Building and Indus-
try, Heat Gain and Thermal Performance of Building window and envelope,
Energy management for building and industrial machinery /equipments,
Impact of Energy savings measures in buildings and industry, Cost-benefit
analysis of different energy saving measures in building and industry,
Lighting: principles of lighting, electric lighting, principles of day lighting,
analysis of day lighting, Solar: flat plat collector, focusing/concentrating
collector, photovoltaic cells, co-generation/heat recovery/combined heat
and power
