* Only applicants who possess a degree recognized by the Malaysian Dental Council (MDC) as listed in the second
Schedule Dental Act 1971 are eligible to apply. Please check the status of your qualification and for the Annual
Practicing Certificate (APC) / Temporary Practicing Certificate (TPC) in http://mdc.moh.gov.my/
* Multiple applications to different Clinical Master programmes and transfer for application between different
programmes are not permitted.
* Places for International candidates in all available Clinical Masters Programmes are generally oversubscribed.
Temporary Practicing Certificate (TPC) should be applied before commencing the course.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (CLINICAL COURSEWORK PROGRAMME):
1. Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent degree in Dentistry and
2. Two years post registration clinical experience in Dentistry; and
3. Qualify for registration as a dental practitioner under the Malaysian Dental Act; and
4. Local applicants must possess at least a score of 4 for MUET; whilst International applicants must
possess a score of 550 for paper-based total, a score of 213 for computer-based total for TOEFL; or a
Band 6 for IELTS (Academic); and
5. Fulfil the requirement for admission by the relevant department responsible for the programmes of
study.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (RESEARCH PROGRAMME - MASTERS):
1. Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent degree in Dentistry, or
2. Bachelor’s Degree with honours in any science discipline; and
3. Local applicants must possess at least a score of 4 for MUET; whilst International applicants must
possess a score of 550 for paper-based total, a score of 213 for computer-based total for TOEFL; or a
band 6 for IELTS (Academic).
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (RESEARCH PROGRAMME - PHD):
1. Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Medicine or Dentistry field of study; and
2. Local applicants must possess at least a score of 4 for MUET; whilst International applicants must
possess a score of 550 for paper-based total, a score of 213 for computer-based total for TOEFL; or a
band 6 for IELTS (Academic).
