PROGRAMME GOAL, EDUCATIONAL
OBJECTIVE(S) AND LEARNING OUTCOMES
Programme Goal
To be a leading program of study, which produces development professionals who are
knowledgeable, confident, ethical, and socially responsible, as well as able to integrate
knowledge in addressing development issues, challenges, and perspectives in a global
context.
Programme Educational Objective(s)
(1) Graduates possess in depth knowledge, professional skills and competence in
development issues.
(2) Graduates engage in lifelong interdisciplinary learning for successful careers.
(3) Graduates contribute to sustainable development and societal well-being.
Programme Learning Outcomes
At the end of the programme, graduates are able to:
(1) Demonstrate advanced knowledge in the field of development.
(2) Apply logic and reasoning in evaluating the themes, propositions and concepts in
development studies.
(3) Analyze problems and interventions critically and constructively on development
issues.
(4) Ability to display interpersonal and communication skills to solve problems using
scientific approach.
(5) Demonstrate the interlinks between the economic, social and environment
dimensions of development using digital and numerical skills.
(6) Work responsibly as a team and develop leadership skills for problem solving
using scientific approach.
(7) Display managerial and entrepreneurial skills, enriching knowledge, and
competencies.
