RESEARCH EXCELLENCE
It has been our pleasure to meet the Dean of Science,
Prof. Dr. Zanariah Binti Abdullah for an interview
session discussing the Faculty of Science's Strategic
HUMAN CAPITAL
Plan 2016-2020. We were warmly welcomed to the
Dean’s office. While the students tried to settled with
some anxiety, Prof Zanariah has started with little
ENABLING joke to shake-off our jittery feelings, and said humbly
INFRASTRUCTURE that she was made the Dean by the University,
otherwise she is just a professor in chemistry, the
one we meet in lecture hall to discuss and debate
INTERNATIONALISATION science problems.

The Dean emphasised on the five pillars of the
strategic plan, and firmly informed us that the
Faculty is implementing them through the leadership
of the Deputy Deans in Research, Undergraduate,
Postgraduate and Development. The Strategic Plan is
not just a guide, but the Faculty has set a series of
measurable milestones to motivate step-by-step
improvements and development.
