evoked in those listening to my poem”. Dini’s untitled
piece was divided into two parts: the first part tells
listeners about a person who has lost her love life due to
her own insensibility and the latter part is about someone
recalling memories of their mother who has passed away.

The participants (myself included) had no expectations of
winning, and joined only for the sake of experience and
fun. Nonetheless, the wins have become our collective
triumph and we are proud to be able to represent the
department and university at an international level.
Hopefully, more events like the AUniVFG will be organised
in the future so that others can partake to broaden their
minds and spread positivity during these increasingly
trying times we face nowadays.
