Industrial Training

Kursus ini memberi pendedahan kepada pelajar mengenai situasi dalam dunia pekerjaan sebenar. Melalui penempatan industri, pelajar
juga berpeluang mengaplikasikan pengetahuan dan kemahiran yang telah dipelajari. Selain itu, pelajar juga boleh mengambil peluang
untuk mengenal pasti peluang pekerjaan yang berkait dengan bidang pengajian.

This course exposes the student to the real working environment. During industrial attachment, the student is also has the opportunity to
apply the knowledge and skills which they have learned. Besides, the student is also has the opportunity to identify the job related to
their study.the opportunity to produce their own research. Among the processes that the student has to go through in this course are
define problem statement, select literature review as the reference and relate it to the student’s research and also apply related theories
and finally organize the information meaningfully in scientific and academic format.

Projek Penyelidikan
Research Project

Pelajar yang mengikuti kursus ini dikehendaki menghasilkan sebuah kertas projek berhubung kajian yang mereka telah jalankan di
organisasi yang telah ditempatkan. Kursus ini juga memberi pengalaman kepada pelajar melakukan penulisan ilmiah. Dalam kursus ini,
pelajar berpeluang untuk menghasilkan penyelidikan sendiri. Antara proses yang perlu pelajar lalui dalam kursus ini ialah menyatakan
permasalahan kajian, memilih karya ilmiah sebagai bahan rujukan dan mengaitkannya dengan kajian sendiri serta mengaplikasikan
teori yang bersesuaian dan mengorganisasikan maklumat dengan penuh bermakna dalam penulisan yang bersifat saintifik dan ilmiah.

Student who attend this course have to produce a report regarding their work and research which they have done during industrial
attachment. This course also gives experiences to the student in doing academic writing. Student also has the opportunity to produce their
own research. Among the processes that the student has to go through in this course are define problem statement, select literature
review as the reference and relate it to the student’s research and also apply related theories and finally organize the information
meaningfully in scientific and academic format.

Undang-undang Kebajikan, Kesihatan dan Keselamatan Pekerjaan
The Law of Welfare, Health and Occupa- tional Safety

Kursus ini memperlengkapkan pelajar dengan pengetahuan aspek perundangan buruh. Para pelajar akan didedahkan dengan Akta
Kerja 1955, Akta Hubungan Perusahaan 1967 dan Akta Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan 1994. Teras kepada perbincangan dalam
kursus ini termasuklah kontrak perkhidmatan, tanggungjawab dan tugas majikan dan pekerja, hak pekerja, upah, hak kanak-kanak dan
wanita, gangguan seksual di tempat kerja; dan pemberhentian dan penamatan kontrak. Pengetahuan ini akan membolehkan pelajar
memberi perkhidmatan yang lebih komprehensif kepada masyarakat. Selain itu, tumpuan diberikan juga kepada pengurusan
keselamatan dan kesihatan pekerjaan.

This course is to equip students with knowledge of labor law. Students will be exposed to the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations
Act 1967 and Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994. The core to discussion in this course includes the contract of service, responsibility
and duties of employers and employees, employees ‘ rights, wages, rights of children and women, sexual harassment in the workplace;
and termination of contract. This knowledge will enable students to provide more comprehensive service to the community. In addition,
the focus is given to occupational safety and health management.
