Geografi Fizikal : Proses dan Bentuk Physical
Geography : Processes and Forms

Kursus ini akan memperkenalkan konsep dan teori asas yang telah dibentukkan oleh pengkaji geografi fizikal untuk memahami
sistem Bumi. Topik-topik akan dibentangkan sebagai 4 modul yang berbeza – atmosfera, hidrosfera litosfera, dan biosfera.
Pelajar akan didorong untuk bertanya bagaimana bentuk dan proses fizikal Bumi telah mempengaruhi aktiviti manusia dan
sebaliknya, bagaimana manusia telah mengubah persekitaran fizikal mereka. Anda boleh menjangkakan untuk membincang topik
kontemporari seperti perubahan iklim, sumber air, plat tektonik, dan kehilangan biodiversiti.

This course will introduce the fundamental concepts and theories developed by physical geographers to understand the Earth
system. Topics will be presented as 4 distinct modules – the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, and biosphere. Students will be
prompted to question how Earth’s physical forms and processes have influenced human activities and vice versa, how humans have
modified their physical environment. You may expect to discuss contemporary topics such as climate change, water resources, plate
tectonics, and biodiversity loss

Geografi Manusia: Pola dan Proses
Human Geography: Patterns and Process

Kursus ini memberi tumpuan kepada definisi dan skop geografi manusia. Pelbagai aspek geografi manusia akan diperiksa
terutamanya dari segi konsep asas dan teori yang dikemukakan berkaitan dengan aspek tersebut. Penerapan konsep dan teori
kepada situasi dunia sebenar juga akan ditekankan kepada pelajar.

The course focuses on the definition and scope of human geography. The various aspects of human geography shall be examined
especially in terms of the basic concepts and theories postulated in relation to the aspects. The application of the concepts and
theories to real world situations would also be highlighted to the students.

Geografi Ekonomi
Economic Geography

Kursus ini akan mengkaji taburan ruangan aktiviti ekonomi. Tumpuan akan dibuat ke atas faktor pengeluaran, pengedaran dan
penggunaan yang mempengaruhi letakan dan taburan aktiviti ekonomi serta perubahan yang berlaku dalam konteks masa dan
ruang. Prinsip dan model tertentu dan kesesuaiannya turut akan dikaji. Perbincangan juga akan melihat isu- isu semasa dunia
seperti perdagangan antarabangsa, proses globalisasi dan isu penyusutan sumber.

This course will explore spatial distribution of economic activities. Focus will be on the factors of production, distribution and
consumption that influence the location and distribution of economic activities as well as the changes that occur in the context of
time and space. Relevant principals and models will also be studied. Discussion will also look at current global issues such as
international trade, globalization process and resource depletion.
