(4) Institute of Research Management and Monitoring (better known as the
Malay acronym IPPP)
IPPP manages all research and development of funds from internal as well
as external sources. Internal research funds are from the Postgraduate
Research Vote (Vot PPP) as well as grants from local foundations and
private industries. They also provide financial support to attend
conferences and payment for page charges for publications in ISI journals.

(5) Support for International Candidates
The University offers support to international candidates who are new to
Kuala Lumpur and to Malaysia such as visa processes, accommodation,
insurance and offshore office inquiries. For more information, please

3. ADMISSION
Entry Requirements
(1) Admission to a Master’s programme
Applicant will need to have completed a recognized Bachelor’s degree in a
relevant discipline and to have obtained a better than average cumulative
grade point average (CGPA).
(2) Admission to a Doctoral programme
Applicant will need to have a recognized Master’s degree in a relevant
discipline. Nevertheless, please refer to the relevant Faculty’s Handbook for
specific and details on entry requirements.

*Note:
i. Preference will be given to applicant having a Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA 3.0 and above or its
equivalent.
ii. Applicant having a Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA 3.7 and above can apply directly for the
Doctoral programme.
