For Doctoral Degree (by Mixed Mode)

(3) Doctor of Public Health (Faculty of Medicine)
(4) Doctor of Philosophy (Faculty of Education)
(5) Doctor of Dental Public Health (Faculty of Dentistry)

No Requirements
1. (a) For Doctor of Public Health (Faculty of Medicine) and Doctor of Dental
Public Health (Faculty of Dentistry):

Fulfil the minimum candidature duration of 4 semesters

(b) For Doctor of Philosophy in Faculty of Education:

Fulfil the minimum candidature duration of 5 semesters
2. Fulfil the University language requirement (Bahasa Malaysia and English)
3. Fulfil residential requirements for 12 months
4. Presentation
 Present research proposal at the beginning of the research
component registration
 Present research progress in Candidature Defence as required by the
Faculty

IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidates are also is also required to fulfil any
additional requirements imposed by the faculty.

For Master‟s Degree (by Research)

No Requirement
Candidate is required to fulfil candidature requirements as follows before
3-Months Notice of submission:
1. Fulfil the minimum candidature duration of 2 semesters.

2. Fulfil the University language requirement (Bahasa Malaysia and
English)
3. Fulfil the residential requirement of 6 months

Candidate is considered has fulfilled the residential requirement if
he/she has completed requirements 4, 5 and 6 and including the
following:
(a) Face-to-face consultation with supervisor(s) as imposed by the
faculty; and/or
(b) Participation in any faculty activities as required by the faculty

4. Attend at least 3 credits of Research Methodology Course not later than
the second (2 ) semester of candidature.
