EXCELLENCE INDEX (UMQEI)
ASSESSMENT: FIRST CYCLE 2024
QMEC successfully concluded the UMQEI Bil.1/2024
assessment, reflecting Universiti Malaya's commitment to
fostering a robust quality culture. Conducted between
August 15 and November 14, 2024, this cycle involved
comprehensive evaluations across 27 Responsibility Centres
(PTj).
OBJECTIVES & SCOPE
The UMQEI assessment aimed to:
Evaluate the performance of PTjs in quality management
practices.
Assess their achievements in delivering excellent results.
The evaluation engaged 32 assessors, including QMEC
members, to ensure a thorough and objective review.
IMPLEMENTATION TIMELINE
The assessment process was meticulously planned, including:
Preparatory workshops and briefings for stakeholders.
Enhancing assessor competencies through dedicated
workshops.
Clinics to guide PTjs in refining their submissions.
A rigorous evaluation period culminating in a
comprehensive report.
