MQA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
11-13 NOV 2024, KUCHING, SARAWAK
The MQA International Conference 2024 served as a dynamic platform,
uniting stakeholders from higher education institutions, industries,
policymakers, and students to address pressing challenges and
anticipate future talent demands. With the theme "Global Quality
Higher Education", the conference emphasized the importance of
sustaining educational excellence while adapting to rapid global
changes. It underscored the need for an adaptable and globally
relevant higher education system to equip graduates for thriving in
evolving environments.
Four members of the Quality Management and Enhancement Centre
(QMEC) attended the MQA International Conference 2024 alongside
Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Yatimah Alias. During a sharing
session, QMEC presented the Universiti Malaya Quality Excellence
Index (UMQEI), showcasing its innovative framework for enhancing
academic and institutional quality. Their presentation underscored
UM’s commitment to achieving global standards and fostering
continuous improvement, reinforcing its position as a leader in higher
education quality assurance.
