56 BACHELOR OF SPORTS SCIENCE (EXERCISE SCIENCE) 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION

A. UNIVERSITY SPORTSMAN AND SPORTSWOMAN AWARD (Student)

a) This award is the highest award given to student athletes who have shown excellent performance and
high level of ability in sports and achieved academic excellence.
b) Each team is allowed to make only one nomination and eligible athletes need to be nominated through
the provided application form.
c) The winner of this award will be chosen based on the following criteria:

Sportsman / Sportswoman (Student)

1. Represented the Universiti Malaya team and was the main player in the year of nomination except
for sports which are not competed at the IPT level.

2. Represented the national team/country in the Olympics, Universidad, Commonwealth Games, Asian
Games, SEA Games or AUG during the period of study in the university and to provide a letter of
declaration from the sports association as proof, including certificate of participation.

AND
3. Possess the best leadership attributes and a high sportsmanship spirit in helping the team to achieve
excellent results.
4. Possess a clean record without any disciplinary action taken against him/her by any sports bodies or
the university.
5. Achieved high academic excellence of at least CGPA 2.8 in the latest examination.

B. UNIVERSITY BLUE AWARD (Student)
This award is the highest award and is given to student athletes who have shown excellent performance
and high achievement in both sports and studies. The winner of this award will be chosen based on the
following criteria:
1. Represented the Universiti Malaya team and was the main player in the game for at least the final
two years of studies or three consecutive years of studies.
2. Represented the national team/country in the Olympics, Universiade, Commonwealth Games, Asian
Games, SEA Games or AUG during the period of study in the university and to provide a letter of
declaration from the sports association as proof, including certificate of participation.

OR

3. Represented the national team/country in international championships which is sanctioned (Olympics,
Universidad, Commonwealth Games, WUC, Asian Games, AUG or other competitions) by the national
and international sports associations during the period of study in the university and to provide a letter
of declaration from the sports association as proof, including certificate of participation.
AND
4. Possess exemplary leadership and a high sportsmanship spirit in helping the team to achieve
excellent results.
5. Possess a clean record without any disciplinary action taken against him/her by any sports bodies or
the university.
6. Achieved high academic excellence of at least CGPA 3.0 in the latest exam.
7. Application through the provided application form.

C. UNIVERSITY SPECIAL SPORTS AWARD (Student)

This award is given to a student sports team that has shown excellent performance and fulfils the following
criteria:

1. Shown excellent performance and ability in MASUM/SUKIPT/IPT League and/or national Open Leagues
/ other participated competitions.

2. Shown excellent team performance in previous years
