Course Learning Outcomes At the end of the course, students are able to:
1. Identify life threatening injuries caused by sports activities
2. Identify quickly and appropriately to life threatening injuries
3. Administer basic emergency response and CPR based on current CPR theories
4. Transport athletes with head injuries or whom are unconscious
Synopsis of Course Contents Students will be exposed to general knowledge of first aid principles and the emergency
treatment in sport injuries. The discussions will revolve around events and injuries that
require prompt care and attention prior to the arrival of ambulance. CPR as one of first aid
skills will be demonstrated and a CPR certification will be offered to students.
