Science in a practical and academic manner. A small part of this process of learning is for
students to display their ability to do basic research in sports. This kind of academic training is
expected to reinforce and develop leadership of students in Sports Science where they are
able to apply theory and a scientific model in the local Sports Science. This development will
create an interest and encourage students to be involved in a lifelong education process.
The outcome of this learning process is to ensure that the students can access critically issues
in local sports as well as Internationally and display good social skills perception, opinions and
attitudes in managing sports organizations. In addition this programme has been designed to
give emphasis to refine skills in management and entrepreneurship for students to complete
in the Sports Industry through internship.
Emphasis will be placed on the following skills to ensure all Exercise Science students
achieve the above goals.
(1) Sports - understand the need for and is involved in professional sports.

(2) Researcher - acquire strong understanding and skills in research principles
(3) Leader - acquire leadership skills and confident in being a leader, takes
initiatives
(4) Decision maker - acquire the skills to think rationally and able to make proper
assessment and decision in the related field
(5) Excellent - able to communicate wisely, capable of communicating Exercise
communicator Science knowledge to others
STRUCTURE, DURATION, LEARNING METHODS
This is a full time program that requires students to register and pass all courses with the
minimum of grade C for a total of 128 credits. The structure of the program is as follows:-

Study duration is as follows:
(i) Minimum time = 7 semester
(ii) Maximum time = 11 semester
Learning methods are a combination of the following: face to face learning (i.e. lecture series),
guided learning (i.e. tutorial, group discussion), student-centric learning (i.e. assignments,
written assignment, presentations) and internship (practical).
