                 PROGRAMME STRUCTURE


               Master of Sport Science programme is purely based on individual supervised research. At the end
               of the candidature, a dissertation must be submitted and upon successful defense of the paper, the
               candidate will be granted Master of Sport Science status. All research proposals must be approved
               and supervised by the Faculty.
               Minimum Duration of Study: 2 semesters

               Maximum Duration of Study: 8 semesters

               The Programme learning outcome are as follows:-

                   1.  Display in depth knowledge on issues and problems related to Sport Science
                   2.  Application of practical skill in problem solving related to Sport Science
                   3.  Relate ideas on community issues in Sport Science researches
                   4.  Conduct research and practice ethical values and professionalism in Sport Science
                      researches
                   5.  Display leadership quality through communication and ability to work together effectively
                      with peers and stakeholders
                   6.  Produce well researched papers or thesis using scientific knowledge and critical thinking
                      when conducting research in Sport Science
                   7.  Information management for lifelong learning

               Research Area:

               Science: Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Nutrition, Motor Control, Neuroscience, Coaching,
               Training, Psychology, Physical Activity, Rehabilitation, Nutrition, Medical and Health Sciences

               Non-Science: Sports  Management, History, Culture, Psychology, Education, Performance,
               Perception, Community  Research, Sport Law, Sport Financial Management, Sport Facilities
               Management, Sport Sociology

               Throughout one’s candidature, a candidate will be required to defend their research at several
               stages (proposal, candidature, thesis) by submitting their written work and going through
               seminar presentations before a final submission for examination and Viva. The candidate will be
               evaluated by appointed panels and results given by the academic office. The candidate is also
               advised to submit an updated title prior to any of their seminar presentation by filling up the
               title change form and submitting it to the academic office if needed.
