At the end of the course, students are able to:

1 Menghuraikan konsep, prinsip dan kerangka historiografi sains Islam
Explain concept, principle and framework for the historiography of Islamic science
2 Mengenalpasti perbezaan historiografi sains dalam kerangka berbeza iaitu antara Islam,
sains tradisi yang lain dan sains semasa
Identify the historiography of science in difference framework between Islam, traditional
science and contemporary science
3 Menganalisis aplikasi historiografi sains Islam dalam penyelidikan Islam semasa
Analyse the application of the historiography of Islamic science in current Islamic research

Sinopsis Kandungan Kursus / Synopsis of Course Content

Kursus ini membantu para pelajar memahami bagaimana penulisan sejarah sains Islam dipengaruhi
oleh sumber dan paradigma penulis itu sendiri. Pelajar turut diberi pendedahan kepada relevansi
historiografi sains Islam dalam penyelidikan Islam semasa.

This course helps students to understand how the writing of Islamic science history is influenced by
the source and paradigm of the author himself. Students are also exposed to the relevance of Islamic
science history in current Islamic research.
