          The MainstreamerMagazine stands as a remarkable initiative led by PWDs in the ASEAN region, showcasing the
          power of collaboration, advocacy, and inclusion through digital media. The magazine was first published in June 2022
          by a dedicated team of PWDs, led by one of the Executive Board Members of AUNDPPnet, Prof. Dr. Makmor Tumin. This

          initiative symbolises a significant step forward in empowering PWDs to narrate their own stories, share their expertise,

                                                          region.

          Each volume of the Mainstreameroutlines ten insightful articles which cover diverse topics such as but not limited

          voices of PWDs, readers gain a deeper understanding of the lived experiences, challenges, and successes of the
          disability community.


          Beyond storytelling, the magazine promotes inclusion, understanding, and recognition of invaluable contributions of
          PWDs to society. It also acts as an advocacy tool to draw greater attention to issues that affect the community,

          thereby fostering dialogue and collective action across borders.

          During its production, the Mainstreamerteam had successfully connected with disability communities from across

                                                                                  PWDs who share a
          ASEAN including the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, and Indonesia uniting both PWDs and non

          common goal of advancing disability inclusion. This crossborder collaboration has strengthened regional solidarity

          and amplified the collective voice of the community.

          ‘Mainstreamerprovides practical opportunities for empowerment. It enables PWDs to showcase their skills and

          talents in digital media, writing, and creative production skills that are increasingly valuable in today’s job market. By
          featuring contributors and their work, the magazine also serves as an avenue to enhance their visibility and
          employability within the region.

          Published in English, Mainstreamertargets a broad audience while maintaining accessibility and relevance for ASEAN
                         ‘
          readers. The magazine aims to be more than just an information source as it aspires to be a movement that celebrates

          capability, fosters empowerment, and strengthens the voices of PWDs through regional cooperation.

          To ensure sustained impact, Mainstreameris planned to be published twice a year and will be made available online

          via the official AUNDPPnet website. This digital format ensures accessibility and wide distribution, allowing
