       POSTGRADUATE

       MOHAMMED K. A. KAABAR

I am from Gaza Strip, State of Palestine, and I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc.
in Mathematics from Washington State University, Pullman, WA, USA. I am
currently a Ph.D. student in the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (ISM),
Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya, studying the computational methods
and mathematical analysis of fractional calculus theory, supervised by Dr.
Zailan Siri, Head of ISM. I am looking to establish novel, significant
contributions to this interesting research area because this research topic
plays an important role in modeling various scientific and engineering
phenomena. There are many problems arising from this field, and I
endeavor to dedicate all my efforts in investigating such problems to better
understand the dynamics and physical behavior of related systems in
       natural sciences and engineering.

My name is Rahadian Permadi and I am from Indonesia. Currently, I
am pursuing a Master of Science degree at Universiti Malaya (UM)
with a research entitled “Synthesis of Phthaloyl Chitosan and Its
Assembly for Oral Delivery Application”. I am working on this
research project under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Misni Misran
from the Department of Chemistry. The aim of my research is to
study the acylation of chitosan on different functional groups, and
to evaluate the effect of amino group protection on acylated
chitosan, as well as to analyse their impact on mucoadhesive
properties for oral delivery application. In the past three years, I was
involved in several conferences such as UM-Indonesian Universities
Symposium (UMInd) in 2018 as a poster presenter and Malaysia
Polymer International Conference (MPIC) in 2019 as an oral
presenter. In addition, I was also appointed as a Research Assistant
(RA) and awarded UM Financial Aid whereby my tuition fees are
waived. Other than my activities as a student, I was also engaged in
some community services. In 2019, I participated as an organizer of
the Indonesian Presidential Election who assisted Indonesian
citizens in Negeri Sembilan to vote for their favourite presidential
                                                       candidate.

In the same year, I joined the Indonesian Student Association in UM (PPI-UM) and served as Head of Advocacy and
Assistance Department for one year. I believe by balancing academic and social community life, not only can we
contribute immensely to improve both areas but also provide positive influences towards our society.
