Tuan Nurizan Raja Yunus joined the Department
of Media Studies in 1996 after obtaining a Master
of Malay Studies degree from the Academy of
Malay Studies, UM. She specializes in creative
writing, particularly drama and novel script
writing. Among others, she teaches courses in
drama and film script writing, editing, and current
Malaysian issues selected for the bachelor's
degree level. Using the pen name Ana Balkis,
some of her drama script were broadcasted on
television and her novels were published by Alaf
21, Edusystem Bhd and Karyaseni. A firm and
principled person, Tuan Nurizan is also known
among students as a person who is easy -going
and concerned about their welfare. A good cook,
Tuan Nurizan often treats her friends in the
Department with her nasi kerabu.
We wish her all the best in her retirement life!

Mr. Rushdy have been an Assistant Engineer for the Mdm Nasimah, an Assistant Administrative staff
University from 1988, a long 34 excellent years and from the Department of Southeast Asian Studies
have retired on his birthday, 17 March 2022. have been of service for the University from 1995
and have opted to retire early in 1 April 2022.
