Momentus 2022: An Annual Media Studies
Screening and Exhibition

Social Sciences, UM, is once again organizing the annual media studies
screening and exhibition called Momentus. Still in the form of virtual like the
previous year (due to the Covid-19 pandemic), Momentus 2022 this year, is
showcasing a total of 120 creative works of local and international students
from Master and Bachelor of Media Studies programmes at the department. The
creative works showcased in the event unveil the students’ talent and skills on
various media platforms including books, PSA, short ads, documentary, motion
graphics, animation, podcasts, and short films. With the theme “Celebrating
Diversity”, most of their works focus on issues and topics related to media,
culture, and society.
In his inaugural speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, UM,
Professor Datuk Dr. Danny Wong Tze Ken, congratulated the students on the
meaningful exhibition of their works and explained how it was done and
showcased by the students in the past. Meanwhile, the Head of the department,
Professor Dr. Hamedi Mohd Adnan pointed out that this exhibition is a good
platform for the students to showcase their creative works and provided them
with a great opportunity to learn about the real world in the field of media and
communication. Momentus 2022 exhibition is available for access starting 15th

Signing of a Service Agreement with the
Globalfront International Sdn. Bhd

Global Front International Sdn. Bhd. signed the Service
Agreement with the Universiti Malaya on 20 May 2022.
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences was honoured to
represent the University. The collaboration aims to
promote and market undergraduate and postgraduate
programmes studies by Universiti Malaya to the qualified
prospective students, mainly in China, Indonesia, and the
Middle East in line with Universiti Malaya’s mission and
vision.
