Learning Outcomes 1. Evaluate the performance of typical electric drives.
2. Design basic electric drives
3. Formulate remedial solutions for shortcomings of electric drives
Synopsis This course allows the student to integrate the knowledge on power
electronics, control theory and electrical machines. They will be able
to visualize how a DC drive and an AC drive can be designed and
constructed.
Assessment 40 % Continuous Assessments
60 % Final Examination
