It’s a fact that Spanish is the official language of 21
countries, it is the second most important language
in the United States, and it even has creole varieties
that allow us to say that Spanish is present in every
continent of our planet. More than 400 million
people start their day with a Buenos días. If we
consider speakers of a second language, Spanish
comes in third place worldwide after Mandarin and
English. And over the internet, Spanish is the third
most utilized language!
Due to historical events, Spanish language has a
unique lexical richness. Spanish is a Romance
language which evolved from Latin, nevertheless it
was later enriched by lexical units from Gothic,
Arabic and Amerindian languages.
