Entry Requirements

Doctoral Degree Programmes

Programme by Research: Doctor of Dental Public Health

General Entry Requirements
• Master in Community Oral Health from UM with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 or other recognized equivalent
qualification ; or
• Master of Dental Public Health apart from than Master in Community Oral Health from UM, shall possess a
Bachelor of Dental Surgery or other equivalent qualification; AND
• Candidate with qualification apart from a Master of Community Oral Health from UM shall pass any other
requirements determined by the Faculty from time to time.

Doctoral Degree Programmes

Programme by Coursework: Doctor of Business Administration

General Entry Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree and Master's degree in related disciplines as listed below, with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of
4.00 or its equivalent from a recognized university as approved by the Senate:
• Business Management • Statistics • Economics
• Marketing • Information System Management • Accounting
• Finance • Psychology • Operations
• Logistics

• A full-time working experience of not less than five (5) years at the management level; AND Pass the interview and
assessment by the Faculty;

or
• Bachelor's and master's degree from unrelated disciplines with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 may be
considered if at least one (1) of the following criteria is met:
• Produced academic publications in relevant fields; or
• Recipient of a scholarship; or
• Government agency staff; or
• Graduate of the University of Malaya; or
• Graduate from a Top 100 university in the latest QS World University Ranking; AND
• A full-time working experience of not less than six (6) years at the management level.
• Pass the interview and assessment by the Faculty.

Doctoral Degree Programmes
Programme by Research: Doctor of Clinical (Dentistry)

General Entry Requirements

• Master of Oral Science from UM or other equivalent qualifications in the related field; AND
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery which is accredited and recognized or an equivalent degree; AND

• Has at least two (2) years of working experience in the field of clinical dentistry after being awarded a Bachelor’s
Degree; AND

• An applicant who has a qualification other than the Master of Oral Science from UM shall pass an interview
and other requirements set by the Faculty from time to time.
