(D) Grade U, for any course for which the
performance of a candidate is graded as
unsatisfactory.
(E) Grade R, any course for which a candidate
is registered for auditing only. No credit is
given for this grade.
(F) Grade W, where a candidate has
withdrawn officially from a course in any
semester.
(G) Grade W1, where a candidate withdraws officially from any
semester.
(H) Grade W2, where a candidate withdraws
officially from the University.
(d) Determination of academic performance
(i) The academic performance of a candidate in any semester shall be
indicated by the GPA and CGPA. The GPA is determined by dividing
the total grade points obtained by the total number of credits taken in
that semester.
Below is an example of how the GPA is determined:

The CGPA is determined by dividing the total grade points obtained with
the total credits taken from the first semester to the current semester.
(ii) The grade points and credits obtained for courses registered in
any semester shall be included in the calculation in the GPA
and CGPA for that semester.
