               Candidature Defence
                Candidates are required to submit four (4) copies of complete research report with 5000-
                10000 words to the Postgraduate Office not later than four (4) weeks before the date of
                presentation, which includes the following:
                (i)      Abstract (500 words in English);
                (ii)   Objectives and statement of problem;
                (iii)   The importance and relevance of the study;
                (iv)   Brief and concise literature review;
                (v)    Solid research methods;
                (vi)   Research results obtained so far;
                (vii)  Brief bibliography; (APA Format)
                (viii)  Research plan that leads to the submission of the thesis
                (ix)   List  of  publications  or  conference  papers  presented  during  the  period  of
                       candidature, if any.
                       Plagiarism Report (must not exceed 15 percent)

               a)  If Candidature Defence is deemed satisfactory, the student may proceed with the
                   proposed research.
               b)  If Candidature Defence is deemed unsatisfactory, the student needs to present
                   Second Candidature Defence in the following semester.
               c)  If Second Candidature Defence is deemed unsatisfactory, then the student will be
                   asked to discontinue his or her doctoral studies.

               Template

               DMgt Dissertation Seminar
               Students must submit presentation notes with abstract of 500 words to UMGSB not later
               than three (3) working days before DMgt Dissertation seminar

               The panel for DMgt Dissertation seminar comprises of the Chairman who is the Head
               of Department or representative, supervisors and internal assessor. The results of the
               seminar include:

                   •  Satisfactory and proceed with final thesis submission OR
                   •  Unsatisfactory and required refinement.

               Students must get approval from supervisors for the final submission for examination.

               Dissertation Submission
               A  candidate  shall  inform  the  Faculty  about  the  submission  of  his  dissertation  for
               examination in accordance to the procedure prescribed subject to approval of the
               dissertation title by the Faculty.
