INTERNATIONAL CANDIDATES

A candidate who is not a Malaysian citizen and who wishes to pursue a programme of study
at the University of Malaya must possess and passed at least 12 years education and fulfil
the following conditions:

1. Passed with at least grade B in the relevant subject at the A-Level/equivalent; or

2. Obtained a CGPA of at least 3.00 in the relevant subject at diploma level and approved
by the University; and

3. Passed the English Language course. Exemptions will be given to candidates who
obtain one of the following:

(a) A TOEFL score of 500 (PBT), 173 (CBT) or 60 (IBT);
(b) A Band 5 in IELTS (Academic);
(c) Following the standards set by Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) if the score
is higher then (a) and (b).
