Notes:

               1.      It is compulsory for students to specialize in one of four (4) areas. Students need to
                       fulfil  a  minimum  of  nine  (9)  courses  from  a  particular  specialization  during  his/her
                       course of study. The specialization are:
                       (a)   Economics
                       (b)   Development Studies
                       (c)   Administrative Studies & Politics
                       (d)   Applied Statistics

               2.      International Students, Session 2017/2018:
                       (a)   Exempted  from  taking  GIG1001  TITAS  (2  credits).  Nevertheless,  international
                            students are required to take another course (subject to the approval of Senate)
                            to replace the course of TITAS (GIG1001).
                       (b)   Compulsory  to  take  GIE1001  (Introductory  Economics)  and  GIG1006
                            (Introduction to Malaysia) course.
                       (c)   Compulsory  to  take  GLT1001  (Elementary  Malay  Language)  course  as  a
                            requirement for graduation.

              3.       Students are required to attend programmes organized by the Faculty from time to
                       time.

               4.      Students may refer to the following sources for additional information:
                       (a)  University  of  Malaya  (First  Degree  Studies)  Rules  2017  and  University  of
                            Malaya (First Degree Studies) Regulations 2017;
                       (b)  Guidelines for Industrial Training (EIA3004);
                       (c)   Guidelines for Graduation Exercise (EIA3005);
                       (d)  Occasional notices from the Faculty.

               5.      Guidelines for Exemption and Transfer of Credit

                       For more information, students may refer to the University of Malaya (First Degree
                       Studies) Rules & Regulations 2017 as follows:

                                   Regulations 4(5): Exemption Course
