Learning At the end of this course, the students are able to:
Outcomes
1. explain the key concepts of politics and public administration such as state,
power, bureaucracy and policy.
2. differentiate political systems and concepts pertaining to public administration.
3. evaluate the issues and trends in public administration and it roles and
functions in the political system.
Synopsis There are 2 parts in this course. The first part discusses political concepts and
terms such as the state and nation, government and power, ideology, and political
participation. The second part discusses the main themes in public administration
including bureaucracy, public management, ethics and changes in public
administration.
