Learning At the end of the course, the students are able to:
Outcomes
1. analyze various concepts and theories of labor market;
2. apply theories of labor market to current labor market issues; and
3. explain the implications of government policies on labor market.
Synopsis This course discusses various aspects of labor market theories and issues.
Among topics to be covered are the demand and supply of labor, labor market
equilibrium, human capital investment, mobility and migration, labor market
discrimination, trade union, occupational wage differential, unemployment and
government labor market regulation and policy implications.
