Synopsis of Course This course will cover the concepts, policies and
Contents socioeconomic outcomes related to poverty and distribution,
particularly in developing economies. We will critically
consider established and current works studying the
meanings and causes of deprivation and disparity, trends
and patterns of poverty and inequality, and policy options
for solving these fundamental problems. Our approach will
be inter-disciplinary and oriented to real world situations.
