In this course the students will acquire a basic knowledge of French civilization. They will be
exposed to different aspects of French civilization such as history, modern and contemporary
society, political system, geography, etc. The students’ proficiency in both oral and written
aspects of the language will allow them to communicate effectively and responsibly in individual
and in group performances.

Bahasa dan Kesusasteraan Perancis I / French Language and Literature I

Dalam kursus ini pelajar akan diperkenalkan dengan pelbagai zaman sastera dalam
kesesusteraan Perancis. Pelajar akan mempelajari genre-genre sastera, membaca, mentafsir,
dan membincangkan karya-karya ulung oleh penulis-penulis terkenal dari pelbagai zaman dan
memperoleh kefahaman tentang sejarah, keadaan politik dan tradisi sosio-budaya daripada
orang Perancis melalui kesusasteraan.
In this course the students will be introduced to the different literary periods of French literature.
They will learn about literary genres, read, classify and discuss major literary works by famous
authors of the various periods and acquire an insight into the history, political situation and
socio-cultural tradition of the French speaking people through literature.
