This course is an introduction to texts analysis in French. The students will be taught how to
recognize different types of texts and to propose their own interpretation of the analyzed texts.
Training is provided in writing of essays to improve their ability to write in a coherent and
cohesive manner.

Sejarah Perkembangan Bahasa Perancis / Historical Development of French Language

Dalam kursus ini, pelajar akan melihat perkembangan bahasa Perancis di negara asal bahasa
dan juga di negara-negara lain di mana ia tersebar. Pelajar akan memperoleh pengetahuan
asas dalam evolusi Perancis. Pelajar akan diajar dengan pelbagai peringkat sejarah bahasa
Perancis dari pelbagai sudut pandangan sistem dan struktur. Perubahan bahasa akan dikaji
mengikut kajian fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis dan leksikal.
In this course the students will look at the development of the French language in the country of
origin and other countries in which it spread. Students will also acquire basic knowledge of the
characteristics of French dialects and French minority languages, including some basic
sociolinguistic notions.
