MID 1010: Microbiology and Parasitology

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the course students are able to:
1. Explain the classification, characteristics, etiology and pathogenesis of bacteria, virus, fungi,
spirochete, protozoa, parasites and filariasis. (C2)
2. Explain the principles of immunology and adverse immune response. (C2)
3. Determine the safety practices in the prevention of communicable diseases. (C3)
Course Synopsis:
This course consists of knowledge on microbiology, parasitology, immunology and safety practices
in the prevention of communicable diseases.
